I sure think the retirees that went south for the winter were the smart ones! This has been just like the long hard winters of the sixties and seventies here in the valley. We’ve had fun with this hardy bunch of retirees that have been coming to our meetings this winter.

It was voted by the Retirees Executive Board to pay $200 rent for the union hall for our meetings to help with the operating cost of the hall.

This year we will be able to send 10 people to the Retirees Conference at Black Lake the last week of March. We filled all the slots, and have a standby list of volunteers.

Everyone at the February’s meeting was treated to fresh carnations on every table which were later given away. Plus putting together there own ice cream Brownie Sundays for dessert.

We will be having our Easter dinner April 9 at noon. Tickets for this really nice meal will be $5.00 in advance by mail, or at the hall till April 4. After the 4th tickets will cost $7.00. Come early
(after 11 am) if you wish on the 12th of March, and enjoy the meeting, and maybe you will win some of the bingo prizes.

We NOW have this website available for retirees to use the "Message Board" to stay in contact with each other.
